Exhibit Highlights

The Mount Makersville Hollow Fire Department is an energetic, movement-based play space built for action, teamwork, and imagination.

This area invites kids to climb, crawl, and stay active while stepping into the role of everyday heroes who help keep their community safe.

What You’ll Experience

Children can navigate climbing structures, crawl-through spaces, and interactive elements designed to encourage physical movement and cooperative play. Whether responding to an imaginary call, rescuing a stuffed animal, or working together to solve a challenge, kids stay engaged through motion and storytelling.

The environment supports both independent exploration and group play, allowing children to take turns leading, assisting, and problem-solving together.

Why It Matters

Active play supports physical development, coordination, and confidence. Just as importantly, rescue-based role play teaches communication, teamwork, and empathy.

In this space, children learn how working together makes everyone stronger. Parents can watch kids build leadership skills, burn energy, and practice collaboration in a fun, low-pressure setting.
