February at Imagine Foundry is about learning what it means to care; for our bodies, our feelings, our animals, and the people around us.

This month, families explore the idea that a heart is more than something that beats inside our chest. Hearts are systems that keep us alive, signals that help us understand our emotions, and symbols of how we show care and responsibility in our everyday lives.

Throughout February, children and caregivers learn side by side. They build, move, design, create, and reflect together, noticing how small choices and routines support healthy hearts in big ways.

Notice how emotions affect the heart and how calm, care, and boundaries help
Learn how animals depend on routines and responsible care
Discover that communities support heart health through food, movement, connection, and service

Some activities are energetic and expressive. Others are quiet and reflective. All of them invite curiosity, empathy, and shared learning.

The Heart of the Month

At the center of February is the idea that care is something we practice.

Care looks like:

paying attention to how our bodies feel
choosing foods that help us grow and stay energized
moving in ways that help us feel calm and strong
speaking up for ourselves and respecting others’ boundaries
showing responsibility toward animals and shared spaces
creating things that help, comfort, or connect people

Children learn that mistakes are part of learning, that routines matter, and that care is something you do again and again.

A Month of Connection

February also brings families together through shared meals, creative making, and community moments. Whether building something side by side, playing a game together, or participating in a special Valentine’s gathering, families experience learning as something that happens with each other, not apart.
